Clean Up gets kiters fired up

Title: Gorge Clean Up gets kiters fired up
Date: May 2007

Dozens of local kiteboarders showed up at the Hood River, Oregon Kitebeach on Saturday for the biggest local beach cleanup ever! Kiters brought trucks, ropes, chains, ATVs, and chainsaws to attack the massive wood piles that were deposited by the November storm and floods last winter.

The beach cleanup left a log-free, kite-friendly, beach for the upcoming summer kiters and beachgoers to enjoy! Northwest kiters had the burning wood pile firing until late in the evening.
