How long will it take for me to get up and riding?
The average person can get up and riding in 6 hours to a few days, depending on your learning curve. Learning to stay upwind can take anywhere from a few weeks to 1 month. It is important to remember that 80% of becoming a proficient kiteboarder is establishing solid kite flying skills, whether you are on land or water.
Do I have to be in great shape to kite board?
No. Being in good shape will help, but women of all shapes and sizes can enjoy the thrill of kiteboarding. However, you must be able to swim and be comfortable in the water.
Do I need to have strong arms to kiteboard?
No. In kiteboarding we use a waist or seat harness that distributes the pull of the kite throughout your body, rather than through your arms. Correct kiteboarding positioning does strengthen the abdominal muscles!
